Parenting as Coaching | Having Two Legs [Having Two Legs]
Description
In Ephesians 6, fathers are commanded to raise their children in the "paideia" (culture) of the Lord, which means surrounding them with the rich and joyful practices of Christian life. Just like how families create traditions for Christmas or sports, parents are to infuse their homes with the culture of Christ through teaching, practice, and joy. This involves not only teaching but also modeling and rehearsing behaviors like attending church, responding cheerfully to instructions, and preparing for everyday challenges. Parents are coaches, and children are the team—ready to run the "plays" of life in obedience and faith. This requires consistent practice, encouragement, and correction, helping children thrive in the culture of Christ with enthusiasm and love.
